User admin is not authorized to perform requested operation - HPE_3PAR 20840

Hi all,

I cannot update the HPE 3PAR OS 20840. Current version is 3.3.2.159 (MU1) and Im triying to install 3.3.2.159 EMU1 (P10) when i try to launch, display a banner "User admin is not authorized to perform requested operation"

I have other older versions like P04 or P08 ready to install, and on the synpsis tab appers "provides FW for affected drives". In this case, i can install without problems. Question is, its mandatory install P08 before P10 version? I tried to show dependencies but any info about it...

Same problem on another 3PAR 20840.

Thanks a lot.

@Copy,

Below are the below patches available available for the Inform OS 3.3.2 EMU1.
P04
P08
and P15
3.3.2.159 (P10 embedded)

As per the latest patch(P15) release notes, here are the prerequisites.
Please follow as documented.

Prerequisites
• Update to the latest, supported version of Service Processor software plus the relevant Service Processor. (Minimum Service Processor required: 5.0.9 + latest SP Patch.) See the HPE 3PAR OS 3.3.1/3.3.2 MUx and Service Processor Software 5.0.x Update Guide for instructions on updating your specific software.
• Verify that the base OS is 3.3.2 EMU1. See the Requires field in the Patch details.
• Install all OS patches in the same sequence as they are released unless instructed otherwise.
• Install all available and applicable patches before installing this patch.
• Stage the latest Upgrade Tool prior to installing this patch. The Upgrade Tools enable 3PAR OS updates and do not affect storage system operation outside of the upgrade process. These tools are intended to improve the online or offline upgrade experience by performing preparatory steps to ensure the StoreServ is in a known state, including pre-checks, post-checks and other validations.

Refer to the below link for the same.
