Where to download current virtual SP?

Hi,

one of our virtual SPs does not work anymore, something broke. I would like to deploy it from scratch, but can't find the download. The new Software Center shows only a fraction of the downloads the old portal used to, seems like somebody made a cut. There is a iso of virtual SP 5.0.9.2, but it only contains a star file, which, as I understand it, is just for updating an older SP version to 5.0.92. 

What am I doing wrong?

Hello @apol,

Looks like the file you downloaded was a VSP patch. VSP v5.0.9 is the actual firmware.

Try to download v5.0.9 then update the patch from the VSP GUI options. Or you can go with v5.1.0 VSP.

Hi, that's exactly my problem - in my HPE Software Center, this update ist the only download I am offered when searching for 3PAR_VIRTUAL_SP, "virtual SP", ... There is no download link/product for the full sp vm.

Another User had the same problem, from that post I got the URL https://myenterpriselicense.hpe.com/cwp-ui/product-details/3PAR_VIRTUAL_SP/3PAR%20Virtual%20SP%205.0.9.2%20SW/sw_usb , but that is the same url I find. It contains only one file for download, (3PARSP_5.0.9.2_SW_QR516-11085.iso (332.45 MB), and that is only the update.

So my problem persists: In my HPE Software Center, I have no way of downloading a current virtual SP. It would be really great if you could provide a link.

Hello @apol,

Even for vmware/hyperV, you can install the physical version of SP software

This is one you select from the list of softwares

Select get downloads:

Select this and download:

Then update the SP 5.0.9.2 update patch.

Sorry, same problem here - when searching for "physical_sp", the only download offered is the update (Product Category "Update Routine"). No other filters set. See screenshot below. 

Even if I don't search, but display ALL downloads, there is none that contains the whole SP. Pressing the Refresh-Button next to "Link a contract" doesn't change anything. (Linked 25+ 3PAR and Primera arrays).

If I set the Product Family to 3PAR, there are 27 results - I guess that should be more.

It doesn't seem to be a language setting thing, the portal is displayed in english.

It would be really great if you could provide a link (if possible to a download containing a vmware image).

This is how I navigate to the download option:

Open the URL - https://myenterpriselicense.hpe.com/cwp-ui/software

Under search option, select 'product family' in the first dropdown. Select '3PAR' in the second dropdown and hit on 'search'. 

Go to the 'HPE 3PAR Physical Service Processor' version 5.0. down arrow at the right hand side -> get downloads

That will list 18 results. Go with the Physical SP v5.0.9 (1.57 GB) and proceed to download.

Please let me know where the view or options are showing different with your login?

first: thank you for spending your time with me on this weird "problem" here!

The problem is, there is no entry 'HPE 3PAR Physical Service Processor' version 5.0. Regarding SP, there is only two entries - the two updates: one for virtual the other for physical sp to 5.0.9.2.

How many results do you get when setting the product family to 3PAR? I get 27, which is way less than in the old sw portal. 

When I click on the green downward button on one of them, I get to choose between release notes and product details - I don't see something like what you have in your screenshot. See screenshot below ( I added release date dec 17, 2021 as a filter, so that the sp results and the search settings can be captured with one screenshot).

I realized that the content of the search etc. is english, but the surrounding stuff is partially german. I found no setting to change that. No idea if this is part of the problem.

I found a way to get the desired download: I clicked on the 5.0.9.2 update, and there, in the "Revision History" at the bottom, are the old links, including one to the full 5.0.9 vmware SP.
