4100 alpha server serial port problem

I am unable to communicate with a 4100
via consle over the serial port.
Is this a standard rs232 or different
pinout required?

Paul,
the AlphaServer has a DB9 connector that uses the 'PC-style' pinout.
Speed is usually 9600.
