A-class server (A500) "Attention LED glows Continuously"

HI,

In one of our A500 server "attention LED is glowing continuesly".
Pls. help us solving this problem.

At the console press two keys simultaneously: Contol and B. Log into GSP. Run 'PS' and 'SS' commands to see if everything is correct and not failed. Then type 'SL', choose error log without filter and look through GSP logs. As soon as you'll view logs, led stop flashing. If led will start flashing again without any reason (power off with power cord disconnection, etc) then GSP logs need to be revised by HP to find a cause and fix it

This command will reset your Guardian Service Processor and load in the default parameters:

stty +resetGSP < /dev/GSPdiag1

Use it logged in as root from the command line. You can also verify the GSP, to some degree, with this command:

stty +queryGSP < /dev/GSPdiag1

I believe the GSP will only report or not and I don't believe there is an in between.

I tried all which you have specfied .still the LED glows.
Is this will happen due to over/less power volatage problem????

I thought the attention light on continuously was an invalid status. (It is either supposed to be off or flashing, but not on constantly.)

Is you run light on? If not, it is possible that the led on your run light is bend and is glowing into your attention light. See by taking the bezel off and looking up from below. (I have an A-class machine with the run light led bent down. It never lights up. One of these days I will fix it...)
