Backup PDC Firmware in HP L2000

I have a server HP 9000 Model L2000 with HPUX 11.0

and I would like make a PDC Firmware backup

How I can make PDC Firmware backup ?

May I ask where you got the idea of backing up your PDC firmware? PDC firmware is upgraded regularly by HP, but backing it up? A new concept to me.

I agree with Paul. I've never heard of backing up PDC Firmware. I don't think it's possible. You could keep a backup of the patch used to upgrade the firmware, but I think that's about it.

You should be able to peek into firmware code via /dev/mem if you know the offset. I don't, but it's definitely interesting to know what changed when a new firmware upgrade is installed.
