Can you ignite to an EMC array
I'm upgrading my L1000 to a L3000 revA, the i/o paths change and i have to edit /etc/ioconfig & /stand/ioconfig. I've been told there may be a problem booting from the EMC as we have no internal drives, if i can boot from the EMC can i ignite to it.

Re: Can you ignite to an EMC array
I am not an emc expert by any means but I do not see any reason why you should not be. if you can stick an installation CD and it recognizes and accepts the emc drive/LUN as your boot disk, ignite should have no problem with it.

Re: Can you ignite to an EMC array
Hi,
You should be able to do it easily.
While creating your ignite tape, create it to perform an interactive recovery.
find out the lun which is bootable, i.e. c# may only change. and perform a recovery
with best wishes
