Dead A6584A

I just received an A6584a UPS that when first plugged in it "beeped" once, but had no lights or fans turned on. It has sat there for six hours hopefully charging per user manual ( three hours per batt. pack). Still no lights or fans. Trying the battery test (again per the manual) there is no responce. Is there a reset procedure that I am missing oram I dead in the water?

Did you follow all the steps in the manual EXACTLY? UPSs are notorious for having specific startup sequences that must be followed exactly, or it will not start up. I would power it down, turn off all the switches in front and back, then follow the sequence again.
