GSP error message....

I found this error in my mail account for a brand new L1000 that was set up yesterday. It is running 11.0. Any suggestions?

I went into GPS and did XD. Tested out fine. Firmware is above A.01.09. What should I do about this? Other tests I can run? Or should I just log a hardware problem. Thanks.

Probable Cause / Recommended Action:

The support bus which connects the system processors, the Guardian Service Processor (GSP) and the Power Monitor or Platform Monitor may have become hung. (The support bus can be tested by issuing the GSP command "XD", and selecting the I2C access test).
If the GSP firmware version is less than A.01.09, schedule an update of the GSP firmware to version A.01.09 or a more recent version to prevent a reoccurrence of this problem.

There could be a problem with the GSP.Verify that the GSP appears to be operating normally. This can be done by typing a B at the console and verifying that the GSP responds to commands. If the GSP has failed, repair or replace the core I/O board.

There could be a problem with the system board. Repair or replace the system board if necessary.

Re: GSP error message....

Hi,

Unfortunately some messages when reported
test ok later. One thing could do is to
run some tests through 'mstm'. Other than
that I suggest you place a hardware call
an get an engineer to look at it.

Re: GSP error message....

While in "XD" did you do a reset on the GSP ? If the "power monitor status" says it's ok I would still check the GSP error logs for more details. In GSP mode type "sl" and then "e" to examine the error log. In "sl" if you choose "filter option = no" it'll show you all the error logs. If you choose "y" and continue you would want to examine these ..
3- PDH
4- Power and
6- Platform
It's tedious ... you might just want to log a hardware call to HP.
