Re: GSP memory error in rp 5400
have you changed the memory or memory configuration before one month.in cstm or mstm see the memory fixed in different slots.is it showing same amount of memory on 0a & 0b ,same for 1a & 1b and so on.any mismatch is there
pls be sure that memory sticks are filled in 0a & 0b first,then 1a & 1b ,then 2a & 2b ,......... which is recomended by hp

Re: GSP memory error in rp 5400
0x20008574ff2102 0000ff00 003bff74 type4=physical location
gives us the physical location of the incompatible memory Dimm:
Dimm 3b !!!
I'm aware of a problem that there are two types of 1 GB memory dimms intallable in a N-Class. The differ in the refresh rates. It is allowed to use both types in one N-Class but it is not allowed to build a pair of two 1GB dimms with different refresh rate.
You wrote you see the memory mismatch errors in the mstm output. Maybe the memory was mixed up after a system board replacement ?
You or better a HP CE should reconfigure the Memory in a way that always the same Dimm types build one Dimm pair. If you have only two pairs of incompatible dimms it is easy to correct it. Simply swap two dimms between the pairs and it should be corrected.
You can check the memory status also offline with the "in me" comman in the BCH information menue.
best regards
Stefan

Re: GSP memory error in rp 5400
What u suggest , do we need to check physically the part number of dimm to verify the mismatch problem?

Re: GSP memory error in rp 5400
Engineering Date Code < A-4052,
Part Number A5864-6X001 A6115-6X001 have a refresh rate of 15.6 usec.
Engineering Date Code >= A-4052
Part Number A5864-6X002 and A6115-6X002 have a refresh rate of 7.8 usec.
X=9 or 0
There is no performance difference between the two types of DIMMs.
best regards
Stefan
