GSP mesage
My L3000 server is down. At the GSp I issue RS and I get the follwing message:
SPU power is down!
And I get the GSP prompt back.

I can't see a particular power supply ID mentioned, tho.
This could have been a transient power dorop from your external power source. Is this machine on UPS power? Any lightning storms lately, power drops in the building?

Try pulling ALL power to the unit (Pull ALL the AC cables) for a period *longer* than 30 seconds - 60 seconds should do. THEN plug it back in & after a few seconds proceed with power up. Short poer transients can "confuse" the GSP & it will start reporting false power problems.
