how to know my MUX card is faulty?
I have this G30 server with J2092A - 16 RS-232 MUX card. However I have no console access, but only lan.
The scenario is:
1. The LED of MUX card is off after full boot.
2. The dumb terminal is connected to DDP port 0, but nothing displayed.
3. when checked with ps command, there are getty sessions running on console.
4. when running ioscan, i've 2 mux card: one with hw path 4 and another with hw path 56. i suspect the card with path 56 is faulty, so the DDP is connected to card with hw path 4.
5. when checked with sam:terminals and modems, console device is associated with mux card path 56, port 0. there's no way to change it to card with hw path 4.
i've 2 questions here:
1. how to know whether a mux card is faulty? are there any diagnostic tools or command to check?
2. how to change the console path to another mux card? i've no console access, so changing at ISL is totally impossible!
Pls could anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Re: how to know my MUX card is faulty?
Hello S.C.
Two short answers to your questions:
1) you need an ADP or MDP for the MUX connector on the Multifunction IO card (HW address 56) A DDP will not work
2) There is no way configure the console path of a G30

There is no good troubleshooting with bad data
