How to reset BIOS in D270/2 SMP
When I try to activate second CPU in this machine I set flag to unconfigure first CPU and set flag to configure second CPU.
After this my server stops on phase: Cache test.
On LCD I can see:
"FLT 2152
Cache 1".
What can I do? How can I reset CPU settings?
Why second CPU was Inactive, before I have made this bad step?

Re: How to reset BIOS in D270/2 SMP
If your System does not boot to Boot Console Handler any more you have no chance to deconfigure the CPU again, you have to replace it. Try to reset the box a few times. Maybe you are lucky and you get back to BCH
Good Luck

Re: How to reset BIOS in D270/2 SMP
If your D270 has an internal modem installed, you can put that small switch on the modem interface to 'service', press ctrl-B on the console and enter 'RS' at the CM> prompt.
In case there is no internal modem, you do not get the CM prompt. You can try a few power cycles or a TOC (transfer of control). Usually you use the TOC if the OS hangs and you want to force the server to write a dump. You can TOC the system by pressing the TOC button on the back or by switching the power off and on for 3 times in a row (pretty fast)
If the system still fails you need to replace the CPU board. Both CPUs are installed on one board and you are not able to replace them separately.

Re: How to reset BIOS in D270/2 SMP
When I press TOC( on back of the box ) system stops with message on the LCD:
"INIT CB00
TRAPS"
And nothing else going on.
Is there no possibility to flag back "reconfigure" first CPU?
It is very bad news :(
