Re: HP-6000 SCSI SE compatibility
Hi Charles,
I don't know which C class you have, but the C3600 has a single ended (SE) interface in the form of a high density 50 pin connector. I don't have a C class in front of me, but the connector should be labeled as SE SCSI. Your HP6000 SE SCSI Enclosure is also single ended and should be 50 pin, but low density. Assuming the internal drives are HP and still supported, with the right cable (50 pin high density - to - 50 pin low density), you should be able to plug it up and turn it on. Also be sure to add a SE terminator to the second connector on the HP6000 if it is the last or only device on the external SE SCSI chain.
A word of caution before you attempt this. Open the HP6000 enclosure (2 screws on the upper rear and slide the cover forward) and verify that there are no SCSI address conflicts with anything else attached to the SE SCSI bus. The address switches are labeled and coincide with labels on the addressing wiring harness. The switches are binary, just like adding jumpers to the address pins on a drive. The rear of the drives are accessible by removing the side covers once you have removed the outer casing. BTW, removing these screws takes a T-15 (T-20??) Torx driver.
Good Luck,
Chuck

Re: HP-6000 SCSI SE compatibility
All screws on an HP box are either T-10, T-15 or T-25. There are *very* few exceptions.
