HP 9000 800 G50

I have this machine in my company. It has fallen into disuse. Would it work with linux, if yes which flavour?

Hi,
I don't think it support linux.It can support older hpux versions like hpux 8.xx,9.xx and 10.xx.

Thanks. But what is PA-RISC Linux because i have learnt that it can work on the machine.

The only operating system that runs on these servers is HP-UX

Why do you want to run linux on a ~15year old server with a CPU speed between 30 and 100MHz?

This makes IMHO no sense at all.

There doesn't have to be a solution for you to assign points. That's why there is the range of 0 to 10 for points.

The G50 is an old Nova series and not supported wit parisclinux yet, due to lack of documentation. Its working well with 10.20, but you will need the 800er (Server) release.
Better go for a B or C-class to run Linux. But there is still very limited graphics support.
