HP9000 UPS port question

HP9000 UPS port question

I noticed there is a UPS port under the Console port in the backplane of the HP9000 K460 server. Can I connect the PowerTrust UPS system to this port instead of MUX card port?
If it can be done this way, which device file should I use? Even SAM only lists the MUX card for me when I selecting device file for UPS.
Any one knows about this?

It's a built-in ups port that is identical to port 1 on the MDP panel and the device file would be /dev/tty0p1.
In the manual, the path for ups port is "10/4/0.1".
