Re: Hyper terminal Connection to an HP K server via the Console port
open hyperterm
select whether it is com1 or com2.
use restore defaults in the page where you have bits, parity, etc.
Thanks

Re: Hyper terminal Connection to an HP K server via the Console port
You can use a the com port cable cross one to conent the PC to the Console the standard connections are as :
2-------2
3-------3
5-------5
Also the setting should be 6 bits no partiy adn no of stop bits as 1 , eiterh connect it to com1 or com2 ans configure the hypertem accordingly , also you can short pin 2 and 3 after connecting to the pc and type sometjhing so that it dispalys back ( in full duplex mode )

Re: Hyper terminal Connection to an HP K server via the Console port
The terminal works fine (i.e. both input/outport works) in PDC and ISL during the booting process. However, once it boot into hpux, it does not response to my key strokes regardless if it is at the login prompt under the multi-user mode or at # prompt under single user mode.
Can someone help?
