Identificacion "tty" with terminal server
Hi, I've a big problem:
I will replace a DTC??s HP 16TN for coneccion all printers and terminals (700/60) for terminal servers (mca. Lantronix). I configured this Lantronix and now I can print and see the servers troghpoot terminals. But this is the probleme: The id for each station (name "tty") is asign aleatory, I NEED make a relationship betweenen the terminal and the port of terminal servers (I need each port, the Lantronix have 16 ports, assign alway the same tty (ej port 1 = tty15, port 2 = tty16, etc). How do this??

Re: Identificacion "tty" with terminal server
You want to make the lantronix print server's port1 to have an alias of tty15, port2=tty16, port3=tty17, and so on? Can you clarify the issue?

Re: Identificacion "tty" with terminal server
Roberto,
If I read right, you have printer interface files that today write to "tty's" (via the old mux strip), and now you want to send that info to a lantronix print server? - but use port numbers instead?
You should really post this question in the "PRINTER" area:
