K250 Server 64bit support

Hi All,

I have installed HP-UX OS 11.11 32 bit version on a K250 server.

Is it possible for us to install the 64 bit version ?

Has anybody tried this before?

Hi Sukant,

K250 does support 64bit 11.0 or 11i.

Hi,

Basically your server is not 64 bit compatible.
Suggest you either upgrade as per the chart
(already given in the link) or upgrade.
Do have a good look at the TOC (total cost
of owning) a 'K' class over the next 3 years
as opposed to getting something newer.

Hello,

Only the "new" servers support 64bit 11 and 11i installations (As, Ls, Ns, Keystones, Superdomes).

A K250 WILL support 64bit 11.00 AND 11i, so you should be ok for a while. Bear in mind that 11i will be getting additional numbering, for example 11i version 1.5 A.k.A. 11.20
Future versions therefore may not support the K250.

Sorry for not responding to all of you. I completed the installation of 64 bit HP-UX 11i during the weekend.

Thanks for such a good response from all of you.

I have upgraded the firmware and then have been able to install the 64 bit version of HP-UX 11i.
