K360 heat monitoring.

K360 heat monitoring.

Does a HP K360 have temperature monitoring internally, and if so, how does one configure HP-UX to shut the machine down on a heat spike?

Is this possible?

The document you want is here:

The normal operating temperature for K-Class systems is 41 to 91 degrees Faherheit (+5 to +40 degrees Celsius).

Over temperature first warning will begin at: 95 degrees Farenheit (+35 degrees Celsius)

Over temperature second warning (Emergency Warning) begins at:
104 degrees Farehheit (+40 degrees Celsius)

Over temperature hardware shutdown will occur at:
109 degrees Farenheit (+43 degrees Celsius)

Re: K360 heat monitoring.

Hello Marc,

The K360 can display two messages on the LCD panel:

'AMBIENT TEMP - POWER SHUTDOWN' when the outside temperature is above 109F.

and

'INTERNAL TEMP - POWER SHUTDOWN' when the temperature inside the system is above 158F (for example: blocking the vents).

Both of these messages can be displayed and system shutdown is then imminent. The limits are set in firmware and cannot be changed by the system administrator.

Good Luck,
Curt
