What is the HP 'end of life/support' by platform, i.e. Does HP still support the K-Series? (A, L, etc.....)
My scenario: K370 on MTI RAID, and MTI RAID unit failing daily w/no parts available. 1st option find used/cheap RAID unit ASAP and re-build LVM on that unit. 2nd option, prove that K360 is no longer support and need replacement of server and storage unit = more money.

Re: K370 Support EOL for HW
Now support musxt be broken down into two areas: software and hardware. The K-class is fully supported (software support contracts) with 11.00 and 11i ver 1. Note that 11.00 is obsolete this year and 11iv2 will not run on the K-class. Then there is hardware support. HP will provide hardware service contracts as shown in the above link. But there are also many good used computer resellers that can provide hardware (on site) support.
So the question is: how important is the K-box? Is it running too slowly for the users? Does it need more processors and/or RAM? The A-class is a great product and significantly faster and smaller than the K-boxes. But in that spreadsheet, you'll see that they are also no longer sold and are approaching end of support.
So if money is the top priority, replace the disk with something reliable and then contact 3rd party service providers to continue hardware support for you. Some can also provide OS software support too.
