K570, HVD10, HP-PB Bus
But it doesn't!
When we ioscan the devices the card is seen, and so are the disks, but they have status 'ERROR'! The termination is fine, because we have tried it on an HSC FWD card and it works.
We need this to work, so any help would be gratefully appreciated
Regards
James

What does ioscan say regarding the disks? Does it say NO_HW?

Re: K570, HVD10, HP-PB Bus
ioscan reports the disks status as 'ERROR', its the first time I've ever seen this as a hardware status!
we're currently checking the firmware versions of both the disks and interface card, but not sure whether this will solve problem
regards

Re: K570, HVD10, HP-PB Bus
When "Error" is shown, it means that the hardware IS responding, but is in an error state.
I guess this has to do with a configuration problem on your HVD10, rather than a hardware fault or a firmware issue.
How is your HVD10 configured? Did you play with the switch settings?
HTH,
Vince

Re: K570, HVD10, HP-PB Bus
The problem was that for the PB bus to see disk over 9Gb the 'disk3' driver needs to be loaded in the kernel!
