Memory/Cpu on rp7420

What would the max memory and CPU possible on rp7420? we have currently 25G memory and 8 CPU's on this box, but this box is under consistent memory pressure.

Actually, depending on where you look, it can have either 8 or 16 CPUs max (dual core?).

Max RAM = 128 GB

Hi,

the old 64GB information is based on 2GB DIMMs. Now you can have 4GB DIMMs, this doubles the value to 128GB.

The quickspec says:

Eight dual core PA-8900/8800 processor modules (16 processors)

128-GB Memory (8 quads)

Just to add: of course you can mix 2 and 4GB DIMMs (but not in a quad) - *your* personal maximum will be just somewhere between 64 and 128 GB ;-)
