Memory upgrade
I have an rp3440-4 server with HP-UX 11.23. Currently we have 4GB RAM (2 sets of A9773A HP srvr rp34x0 2GB DDR mem quad) and we are planning on upgrading the RAM on the server this weekend. I purchased 8GB RAM (1 set of A9775A HP srvr rp34x0 8GB DDR mem quad) from a third party company.
My question is this, when I install the new RAM chips can I leave the other set of the 2GB RAM chips or do I need to remove both sets of the 2GB RAM kits.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Re: Memory upgrade
hi,
the system has 12 slots and supports upto 32gb in total, using 2x 16gb kits.
so as you will have 4 slots free you can just populate the remaining ones.
