Re: Modem At Command set

Took a look and there were several urls that look like they would probably help you...so figured you might want to select the ones most appropriate for you.

I simply clicked on SEARCH on the left side and typed in (modem HPUX). Make sure you check Forum,Manuals and Tech Documents

Re: Modem At Command set

Stefan,

Each Modem has a different default setting. You change with the AT commands the configuration relative to the factory default. Therefor it's not easy to define THE COMMAND SET that makes every modem work.
You also need to know if you want to use hardware flow control or XON/XOFF.

Re: Modem At Command set

Finally I managed to get the modem working but I have one problem. It only manages to dial in once. i.e. when I dial in for the first time the dtr is automatically raised on detection of a ring and it will autoanswer. When i will try a second time to connect the dtr will fail to raise hence it will not autoanswer.
I will have to switch off and on the modem again.

what could be the problem

One last thing what brands of modems thus HP suggest to work on HP9000 series 8000 servers ?

for the information of people on this forum the AT command set I used on an ACTIVE modem is
at&f
at&d2&k4%c0&c1
at&w
