Moving a V-Class Server
Hello!
We are getting a donation of a V-Class (V2200)that needs to be moved to the College (50 miles). Does anyone have a link/ideas as to how to best move it? Due to the budget we are unable to pay for a professional move.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Emil

Re: Moving a V-Class Server
Emil,
The V2200 is large, but not unmanageable. I have a empty V2200 here, and it can be lifted by 2 strong people, so if you have 4 people you should have no problem lifting it into a pickup truck. I'd get some straps for it, or rent some from ryder or u-haul or someone like that.
Its weight is stated at 235kg, or 517 lbs. It weighs less than that if you remove the processors and memory, but you probably don't want to mess with that.

What are the chances...
