I didn't try it myself, but someone who worked with me did. It didn't work, but it's also entirely possible that he didn't know what he was doing, or didn't change the dipswitch settings.

Some Reasons why it *MIGHT* work

The Manufacturer's Part Number on the Processor Support Modules are the same for the L and N class.

The CPUs have the same physical footprint

The Rev. B&C System boards for the N4000/rp7400 and the rev. B System board for the rp5430/rp5470 have the same dipswitch settings for the same speed CPUs.
