We are using the HP Secure Web Console on K200, N4000 and D270.
They are configured in VT100-mode.
It works OK, but:
How can I type in the '|'-character as in 'ls -al | more'?
I am using Netscape on a PC with a PC 101 Keyboard in german.

Solution
The webconsole does not support a German keyboard (or other non US / foreign keyboards) keyboard for special characters like | (pipe symbol).
But there is a workaround, it is possible to set different "input locals" within one user profile in Windows 98/NT. This allows the input of those special characters.
1. select: Settings / Control Panel / Keyboard
2. select the tab "Input Locals"
3. press the "Add..." button
4. add the keyboard "English (US)"
5. select the desired "Switch locale" shortcut
6. select "Enable indicator on taskbar"
7. press the "OK" button
Now it is possible to switch between the keyboard mappings even while typing a command line.
Eg: If you want to type "ls | more" you may type (on a German Keyboard)
"ls more"
instead of you could also use the keyboard indicator on the taskbar.
