Re: problem in console

If I would know what terminal you are using I probably could suggest something ... wrong settings?

Hope this helps!

Re: problem in console

Whatever the settings are - try a reset. Power off the terminal, hold "d" down while powering on for a few seconds.

Hope this helps!

Re: problem in console

If you are physically there near to server, you may try resetting GSP/MP card with the reset button on the card itself...

Re: problem in console

Hi,

Please let me know the server model.
You can do one thing just poweroff the server and remove the power cable and revert back it after Five minutes (this will power down the MP also)then try and let me know the update.

Re: problem in console

Which serial cable did you use? A modem cable will not work. You must use a crossover cable, also known as a printer cable. Depending on the server, you need to plug it into the console port or the console connector on the "W" cable. You can't plug a 25pin terminal cable into the multi-purpose 25pin connector on newer systems -- you must use the "W" cable.

Re: problem in console

Can you get access to the MP itself?

Did you see

MP login:

and are you able to logon to the MP?

Just no action on the (CO)nsole possible?

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: problem in console

If a GSP reset doesn't do it and without knowing why type of server you have, you might not be using the right comm port, and/or wrong cable, etc,...
