Re: Quick 10 pointer !! (R380)
The D-class and R-class servers support a maximum of 3GB.

Re: Quick 10 pointer !! (R380)
The maximum is 3GB. But when you upgrade be careful that the new memories you install are tested properly and manufactured by the same company as the old ones. We had a problem when we upgraded the memories of our D220. So you can first test with the new memories alone and check out whether they are working fine. Then install them with the new ones and check your system.
Anyway...it only happens sometimes !!!

Re: Quick 10 pointer !! (R380)
You may alos look at the following :
http://docs.hp.com/hpux/pdf/A3262-90013.pdf
and
http://www.alimartech.com/9000_servers.htm
The maximum is 3.0 GB and since it is interleaved the maximum denominations i guess should be 512 MB only.
