Yes, log into the GSP and do the following command; RS (then answer Y to reset your server and it will reboot)
Im from Palmerston North, New Zealand, but somehow ended up in London...

Re: reboot A-class from GSP

Luca,

You can do a non-gracefull reboot from the GSP by typing:

RS

Re: reboot A-class from GSP

You need to get in to the GSP prompt and then enter the command 'RS' to reboot the system.

Re: reboot A-class from GSP

Hi Luca,

As suggested, go into GSP and do a RS to reset and reboot the system.

Hope this helps.

Re: reboot A-class from GSP

Sounds like just as it says. The box is switched off. You can run command "SS" to check the status of the CPU's, but with no power you may get the same error. RUn command VFP to see if the system reports the LED's. Look at RUN ATTN and FLT.
Go to:
http://docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/hw/rp2400/index.html
and then go to Documentation and then Diagnostics to decipher the LED patterns.

You may have to have someone go the system and check power to the box.

Re: reboot A-class from GSP

The GSP is a separate processor and is always on, even when the fron panel switch is turned off. So the machine has been switched off. Note, if the firmware is up to date, you can power up (and power down) the entire computer using the GSP commands.
