Resetting NVRAM on D350 HP9000 ?
I am building a D350 out of various bits of old kit and although I have a working system I am getting some errors that seem to indicate that the system is concerned about an EISA board in slot 1 even though there is not one and this in turn is stopping HP-UX installation. It has been suggested to me that the CPU board/backplan has delusions about a past life and that the NVRAM needs resetting. Anyone any ideas how I set these boards back to factory defaults ?

I have the same problem with a D380. I cut off the battery on the backplane. since the capacitiors on the backplane are huge it takes some days to complete unload the CMOS chip.
On weekend I can tell you if it have worked.

Re: Resetting NVRAM on D350 HP9000 ?
I'm having the same problem on an HP9000 D200.
It thinks an EISA adapter is failing and I cannot get past a 'stop boot flag is set' messages. I find no documentation on how to remove existing io definitons in PDC. I've tried fast boot (suppose to bypass diags) with no help. I cannot boot any device until I get past this error!

Re: Resetting NVRAM on D350 HP9000 ?
For the record I did come up with a solution to this which was something to do with the boot up settings - darned if I can remember what it was though as the machine is at home and I am at work. If anyone wants the solution still post up a new message and i'll check it out.
