RP8400 AC power input problem

Hello ALL:
My customer have a RP8400,and have two power cable,4 BPS(BPS 0,1,2,3),and 16 CPUs(4 cells),32G memory.

On document ,AC power:A0 provide power to BPS 0,1,2,and AC power:A1 provide power to BPS 3,4,5..(B0 and B1 are the same with A0 and A1)

But if I connect power to A0 and A1,all BPS 0,1,2,3 amber LED flash.
If I connect power to A0 and B0 , BPS 0,1,2 green LED light and BPS 3 amber LED flash.
If I connect power to B0 and B1 , BPS 3 green LED light and BPS 0,1,2 amber LED flash.
Somebody can help me?
Thanks very much......

Re: RP8400 AC power input problem

Hi,
Your RP8400 will work fine with the power cords plugged into A0 and A1. The flashing amber light is a warning that it is missing a power grid. That just means that is does not see any power cords connected to B0 and B1. Connecting 4 power cords gives you a redundent power source if the source from A0 and A1 is lost you would still have the power for B0 and B1 to keep the system running. If you update to the latest firmware for the RP4800, which is now 3.0, I believe you will not get the warning for just using 2 power cords.
Hope this helps.

Better yet: invest the extra money and get that
third power supply. Your customer will have the happy feeling of redundancy.

From the MP> prompt you should use the pwrgrd
command to check the input power type
