SAM

Please forgive me again but I am really new with HP and Unix. How ould I access SAM from the root? Forgive me again if I sound foolish.

Re: SAM

It's really very easy. You type 'sam' at the prompt.

# sam

This will start up the GUI version if you are on an X-TERM or it will start the TUI version if you are logged in via an HPTERM or VT type term.

You may have to set your TERM environment variable to something appropriate to get sam to look and function appropriately.

Re: SAM

You might need to use the full path:

# /usr/sbin/sam

Cheers
