shut-d200 error msg on LED display of K460

shut-d200 error msg on LED display of K460

After a kernel change and reboot, my K460 appears to be "dead in the water". Unfortunately, this machine is located at a remote site. I had someone on site read the LED Window on the K460, it indicates: shut-d200 CPU01 Console only has a blinking cursor. Does anyone know in which state of the reboot I might be given the error message?

Re: shut-d200 error msg on LED display of K460

I haven't seen this code before (D200), what I know is if it shows ..

D000 Shutdown begun, boot () has been entered
D004 Transfer of Control (TOC) core dump begun
D010 High priority machine check (HPMC) core dump begun
D400 Shutdown in progress, returned from update (), about to wait for buffers to be flushed
D600 Shutdown in progress, busy-wait after update () has completed
D900 Shutdown completed, disks not fully synchronized
D904 TOC dump completed, disks not synchronized)
D910 HPMC completed, disks not synchronized
DA00 Shutdown completed, disks fully synchronized

Try cycle the power by using the key, turn it to "Service" mode and back to "On".

I tried cycling the key position as you indicated, still got the same results. I may try the GSP (ctrl-b), then seeing if the "RS" (reset) will do the trick.

Hi,
Are you really sure about the D200 error ? The following link contains every possible message on the led ... there's no D200 in there :

Hope this helps,

What about turning it anti-clock wise to "standby" mode then back to "on" ? I remembered it's one or the other. Eventually when everything come back up , double check STM error and look for any error log, just in case.
