slow files from Lclass server to 7020 ibm server.

We are running into an issue with small files from one server to the other. The large files don't have a problem, its the small files. The cards and switch are both set to 100Full. The files are coming from a dlt80 surestore tape drive on the HP server. Is there anything else that might slow this process down or is it to be expected with small files. Thx

Overhead slows this down. What software is reading the dlt80 tape? What are you using to transfer the files?

Problem resolved by assigning the lan to 100Full per the switch setting.
