Solutionlogin to the mp on the console and read the error messages (sl command). Depending on the severity of the messages you could even need a system power cycle to remove the error led message.
Hope this helps,
Robert-Jan

Re: System led flashing red.
like what robert-jan has mentioned, proceed to console of that system and login as mp:
> username: Admin
> key in password
> upon login, type sl
> select error log
> after scrolling through, the red LED should have disappear.
> type co to logout and back to console.
hope it helps.
regards.

Re: System led flashing red.
You need to acknowledge the error message. This acknowledgement is normally done after you fixed the problem.
COnnect to the COnsole and login as root.
Press
MP>
MP>sl
Event Log Viewer Menu:
Log Name Entries % Full Latest Timestamped Entry
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
E - System Event 113 12 % 18 Jun 2005 14:18:30
F - Forward Progress 4000 100 %
B - Current Boot 299 99 %
P - Previous Boot 299 99 %
C - Clear All Logs
L - Live Events
You will see this screen.
Chose System Events (E)
And then "A" to acknowledge.
Hope that helps.
Regards,

Re: System led flashing red.
follow Bharat's step by holding down
when we mean console, it means looking at the monitor connected (physically) to the system, not through network connection.
if u do not have a monitor connected to that system, u may have to use hyperterm.
regards.

Re: System led flashing red.
When the system LED is red flashing, this indicate that something wrong with the system. Sometimes read the system log can turn-off the system LED, but it's a good practice if you capture those information from system log (SL) and send it to HP for analyze.
You need to login to MP prompt by using CTRL+B on the console or telnet to MP IP address (if you already set it up).
The default User & Password is :
Admin/Admin OR Oper/Oper
SL > E > T (see & capture this info)
CM > PS (this to check the power supply status)
Hope this information can help you.
Cheers,
AW

Re: System led flashing red.
You need to get a local console of some type onto the serial port of the server. login to the MP with this control B as others have mentioned.
Then as its an over temp warning possibly you need to go through the error logs, not to just clear them but look at them and see what it says. You may have cooled the room down but the system may well have a faulty fan somewhere in it.
In the MP you can check the status of the fans and psu to verify they are all functioning correctly.
