Temperature logging from N-Class

Hi all,

Is there any way to log the temperature of my N-Class server to a file. I know that there are temp sensors in the system and I do use them with scripts to warn of overtemp or fanfail but I would like to log temp readings for analysis of environmental conditions in the datacenter.

Thanks,

Craig

Re: Temperature logging from N-Class

Craig,
Even when the N-Class has an analog temperature sensor does it not send the temperature values out to the system. It just sends interrupts, if a certain threshold is reached.
To make a long story short? there is no way to use your N-Class as a thermometer.
There is no good troubleshooting with bad data

Re: Temperature logging from N-Class

You can use your FC10 as a thermometer!
using mstm (or cstm) tools-info-run.
If it's dooable on the N, it'd have to be through stm.
