Wyse/vt100 terminal on HP9000

Charles McCane wrote:

What is the problem with using a WY-150 terminal set to vt100 emulation connected to the serial port of an HP9000? I'm trying to install HP/UX on a 735 using a WY-150 as the console. Everything works ok during the boot selection process (terminal responds, screen looks great) but once the HP/UX cdrom kicks off, the terminal keyboard no longer works. What's up?

Re: Wyse/vt100 terminal on HP9000

I think that there might be an issue with the D class and terminals connected to the console port. I recently had a similar problem connecting a console to my D270. It didn't work until I hooked up my HP 700/92 terminal. I think it is looking for an HPTerm terminal type. If you have that on the WYSE, you might try that, otherwise try picking up an HP terminal (cheesy).

A 735 workstation requires a HP terminal connected with a BNC cable. We use a A2094A monitor connected with a 98700-61603 cable.
It's a binary world!
