2910al-24G Switch - DHCP Relaying
Hello everybody,
we have to change our configuration, because we're getting a new PBX.
So we created a new VLAN (ID=160) for telephony.
The PBX has an integrated DHCP-Server only for the phones.
So, the PBX is connected to a port with the tagged VLAN 160.
The local ports at the employees' desks are tagged with the PBX VLAN (160), and untagged with the PC VLAN (136)
The phones have got an internal switch to save switch-ports. The phones are connected to the HP switches, configured as written in the line above and they use the tagged VLAN 160 for telephony and serve the untagged PC VLAN to the PC-port.
Now we must be able, to relay the DHCP Traffic in the 160 VLAN, that the phones get ip addresses from the PBX integrated DHCP-Server.
The PCs are getting IP-Addresses from the PCs DHCP Server, but the phones don't get an IP-Address.
What to do?
Thank you for your assistance!
Best regards from germany
Markus

Re: 2910al-24G Switch - DHCP Relaying
Are you *sure* the PBX should be on a *tagged* port?
