2910al - x2 cabling to two P4300G2 Nodes and two ESXi5.1 Gen8 Servers
Hi all
I could use some of your experience with cabling this up.
I have two 2910al switches, each has 2- J9008A 10Gbe Modules, and labeled A1-A2 and B1-B2
The P4300G2 Nodes also have 2-10Gbe ports, and best practice say to bond and apply ALB
And...DL380p Gen 8 have 2-10Gbe Nics as well
Redundacy for switch failure
So my thought was:
Sw01
Port A1- to Array 01 (eth2 + eth3 = bond1)
Port A2- to Array 02 (eth2 + eth3 = bond1)
Port B1- to ESX Host 01 eth0
Port B2- to ESX Host 02 eth0
Sw01
Port A1- to Array 01 (eth2 & eth3 = bond1)
Port A2- to Array 02 (eth2 & eth3 = bond1)
Port B1- to ESX Host 01 eth1
Port B2- to ESX Host 02 eth1
These ports will belong to an iSCSI Vlan, and I'll have to trunk that from sw to sw to allow everything to talk to everything.
But I am not sure if my thinking is correct.
I would sure appreciate some thoughts on this.
Tks Much
