3500yl configuration with /31 mask
Hi,
I am trying to configure an interface in a 3500yl procurve with IP address 185.28.167.169/31.
I get a message of inconsistent value. Do I have to change the subnet mask? HP does not support /31 mask?
Regards,
Dimitra

Re: 3500yl configuration with /31 mask
Hi Dimitra,
After doing some testing on a K class firmware switch it does look like that /31 subnets are not currently supported - this is not to say that the comwise or other procurve models of switches don't but the latest K class firmware does not - you'll still need to use /30.
HTH
