4200 series bandwidth limiting

Is there a statement to run that would allow me to set a bandwidth limit on a switchpport?  We have a private ethernet line running between two sites that is a 50Mb dedicated link.  I would like to limit the port to be 50 Mb.  The issue is otherwise packets may be dropped and re-transmitted, slowing down the link.

It is not possible to configure this type of rate limiting on the 4200 switches. it does not support the interface number rate-limit command
