802.1x in virtual machines (ProCurve 2610)

Hi

We have successfully set up 802.1x authentication for our physical XP and Windows 7 clients but there is a problem with virtual machines hosted on the clients authenticating.

A physical machine Scooby succesfully authenticates with 802.1x. A VM Scrappy (using bridged networking) hosted on Scooby is also setup to use 802.1x certificate authentication but when it tries to authenticate it fails. During the period when the VM is trying to authenticate the logs on the radius server report "access granted to user" but for the physical host Scooby. The authentication information for Scrappy is not being passed to the radius server, it looks like the physical hosts information is being passed instead.

Has anyone successfully got 802.1x working in this kind of scenario?
