Re: 8212 10g performans
Hi,
Here is the description from this page beware is it DataSheet information :
http://h10144.www1.hp.com/products/switches/HP_ProCurve_8200zl_Switch_Series/overview.htm#J8715B
"12 open module slots
Supports a maximum of 288 auto-sensing 10/100/1000 ports or 48 10-GbE ports or 288 mini-GBICs, or a combination"
"Performance 8212zl
1000 Mb Latency < 3.7 µs (FIFO 64-byte packets)
10 Gbps Latency < 2.1 µs (FIFO 64-byte packets)
Throughput up to 480.3 million pps
Routing/Switching capacity 645.6 Gbps
Switch fabric speed 691.2 Gbps
Routing table size 10,000 entries
MAC address table size 64,000 entries"
The modules used could be this one : HP ProCurve 4-Port 10GbE SFP+ zl Module (J9309A)
Notes
When installed in a zl chassis, the J9309A module limits the operating temperature range of the chassis to 32F to 113F (0C to 45C).
5412 have similar performance but without the ability to used two redundant management module with the latest K.15 firmware "Non-Stop Switching" feature.
Bye.

Re: 8212 10g performans
You could check out the new V2 chassis/modules. 8 port SFP+ cards should now be available giving up to 96 ports of 10GbE per 12 slot chassis.
V1 modules are limited to 28.8Gbps per card, V2 increases that to 40Gbps per card.

For true non-blocking on 40 ports you would technically need 10 x 8 port cards
