Hi all,
Just wondering is it possible to configure/adjust vlans via the GUI on the 2930M series? The network i currently maintain is all Netgear ProSafe and a few older HP ProCurves. A change at work means i'm now responsible for some Aruba 2930M switches too, however, i've no experince of these as yet. The 2930M switches are already configured and in production. I've had a look at YouTube but so far the vlan videos i've seen are based on CLI. While I dont mind learning CLI in the long-term i've been told there needs to be some adjustments/additions to vlans ASAP. I'm hoping i can do this via the GUI as its more user-friendly and i'm less likely to screw up.
Also, any tips or useful articles, guides, etc based around the 2930M basics etc would be appreciated.
thanks

Re: Aruba 2930M - vlan via gui
Hi,
Web UI access is enabled by default;.
An IP address must be configured on the switch and there must be basic IP reachability between the switch and the client.
You can refer below link to access switch through WebUI
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=emr_na-a00018877en_us
I believe you are using old version so the webui will look like below and where you click on vlan section and you will add vlan and other options.
Thanks!

SolutionHello,
Yes, it is possible. If you are using the nextgenUI (should be the default with current firmware) you can go to Interfaces -->VLANs in the navigation pane on the left side.
At the bottom of the page you will see the VLAN table. Here you will see all configured VLANs of the switch.
If you want to add a new VLAN you can click on + (create VLAN) in the upper right corner. You can enter number and name but only number is sufficient.
After you have added the VLAN it will appaer in the VLAN table. Selecting the new VLAN will make it appear with all settings in a separate panel space above the VLAN table. Clicking on Edit in the upper right corner will open a new window which allows you to configure all settings, the most important of which would be the port participation. Specify if the port should be tagged or untagged member and klick on + to add it to the VLAN. Change other things if needed and scroll to the bottom where you can save the changes.
The Basic Operation Guide describes all the options of the WebUI, chapter 3 ArubaOS SwitchUI
