Ask - Switch V2920 - V2530
Dear all,
I need advice please.
I plan to buy HP v2920-24G, but consider for the following:
- can the switch stacked with different model (v2920 with v1910, v2920 as a main switch)
- can I do Setting:
- Socket 1 = internet source
- Socket 2, 3 = for guest
- Socket 4 – 8 = Manager level
- Socket 9 – 12 = Marketing level
- Socket 13 - 24= staff officers include for Facilities (servers, NAS, network printers, etc) .
- Socket 2,3 only can communicate with Socket 1, (if possible: only for port 80, 443, 587, 110, 25, 465, 995)
- Socket 4-8 can communicate with Socket 1, 4 – 24.
- Socket 4 – 8 only can communicate with socket 1
- Socket 13 – 24 only can communicate each other.
I don’t know for that requirement, whether router can handle or not, or I need a firewall to do that.
3. Does the switch support multi-vlans to run simultaneous ?
4. what is the difference between v2920-24G and v1910-24G?
thanks
