connecting 2510G to V1910G
My layout is as follows
2510G port 48 connects to port 23 of v1910
port g0/48 on 2510 set to tagged VLAN 102 and UNTAGGED VLAN 1.
Port g0/23 on 1910 is set to TRUNK, TAGGED VLAN 102 Untagged VLAN 1 (PVID 1).
VLAN 1 Ip scheme is 192.168.x.x
VLAN 102 is 10.10.2.X
PC is plugged into port g0/1 of 2510, and can ping the 1910 using a 192.168.x.x. but cannot ping anything on the VLAN 102 (10.10.2.x) on the 1910. What am I missing on the 2510?

Re: connecting 2510G to V1910G
Where is the router on your network, that will route traffic from one subnet to the other?

Re: connecting 2510G to V1910G
the v1910 is a layer 3 switch. It should be able to handle that, correct?
btw. I'm not trying to ping from the 192.168 to the 10.10.2. What I want to be able to do is plug a PC with a 10.10.2 address into the 2510 and have it reach the VLAN 102 on the 1910.

Re: connecting 2510G to V1910G
So, the V1910 has a 10.10. VLAN102 address configured on it.
You want to have a PC on 10.10. VLAN102 on your 2510 switch ping the 10.10. address on the V1910.
Your PC must have a 10.10. address configured on it and must be patched to a port on the 2510 that is untagged in VLAN 102.

Re: connecting 2510G to V1910G
I changed all ports 1-48 to untagged vlan 102. My question is what does the port that actually connects from the 2510 to the 1910 need to be set as? Tagged? Untagged? Auto?

Re: connecting 2510G to V1910G
Your original port config for your switch-to-switch link looked good. "Tagged".
