Connection between two switches
Hi all,
I have 2 x 2510G-24 switch. How I can connect them together with more than 1 cable between switches?
Let's assume I want to use ports 23 and 24 and assing them to trunk (trk1) on both switches. Then connect two cables between switches on those ports that I configured for trk1?

Re: Connection between two switches
You have to create a Multi-port Trunk. This is similar to the Cisco Port-Channel. Connect your laptop to the console cable (as you might cut off your remote access):
MENU >> Switch Configuration >> PORT/Trunk Settings
Here you will bind your two ports together.
Edit >> Use your arrows to get down to the row for interface 23.
Under the "Group" Field - hit the spacebar to make the value show Trk1.
Do the same for interface 24. You will now have both ports in Trk1. Save the configuration.
Repeat this for the other switch. They will now be uplinked via a Multi-port trunk.

Re: Connection between two switches
Hi,
This seems to be exactly the same that I was talking about? Or do I miss something :)

Re: Connection between two switches
it is.. and its the right way to do it, without having STP blocking all but one of the links.
