Debug DHCP IP HELPER problem?
Hi,
I am having difficulty in implementing DHCP with IP HELPER feature and am looking for a way to debug the problem. My setup is as follows:
Procurve 8212zl with 2 vlans -
VLAN 109
IP ADDRESS 192.168.109.254 255.255.255.0
UNTAGGED C23
IP-HELPER ADDRESS 192.168.213.113
IP-HELPER ADDRESS 192.168.213.114
VLAN 213
IP ADDRESS 192.168.213.149 255.255.255.0
TAGGED G1,E1
Port G1 is connected to a Cisco 6000 layer 3 switch with address 192.168.213.254 on Vlan 213.
Port E1 is connected to a Procurve 5406 that sees 2 Microsoft DHCP servers on Vlan 213 with addresses
192.168.213.113 and .114. Their default gateways are 192.168.213.254 (on the Cisco)
I can ping successfully from the 8212 to the DHCP servers and to the Cisco 6000.
I request an address for my laptop on port C23 but do not get one. I rebooted the 8212.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks
