DHCP + VLAN + VOIP ip helper
Hi Everybody,
I'm trying to create a new vlan (tagged with id 50) for VOIP (avay phone) on my procurve 5406zl. I succesfully create vlan on all my switchs and i can ping all my ip (vlan 50) from my core switchs and others switchs.
i will used my core switch as router.
For my vlan 50 i had configure an ip helper who is the ip adress of my dhcp (192.168.0.55 & 192.168.0.56 / 255.255.255.0).
My native vlan is 192.168.0.x. I have configured my vlan 50 (192.168.2.x 255.255.254.0) on my dhcp with the right dhcp options for my avaya phone. i have enabled ip routing also. i had tagged my ports where avaya phones are connected
i have try to ping from my vlan 50 (ping source 50 192.168.0.55) but i canno't had a response from my dhcp.
The quesiton is, should i have to create route on my core switch ? Or just ip helper should route the dhcp request without any static route ? should i have to tag my dhcp network interface also ?
Thank you so much for your help.
